“Guest bloggers wanted!”
“Write for us”
“Looking for contributors”
These are just a few ways some of the best sites indicate that they welcome guest posts from folks, just like you.
But how do you know that they’re looking?
You run a business that leaves your hands full and you don’t have the time to go on random Google searches for guest blogging sites, some of which sadly may not be what they are. I’ll come to that later.
But first, let’s get straight to the heart of the matter… how to find sites that want guest bloggers and how to find them fast.
Hearing the Guest Bloggers Wanted Foghorn Across the Internets
I know. You don’t have time.
I also know… you don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of looking for sits.
And guess what, I do know that reaching out randomly to sites you frequent can result in you looking sleazy, spammy, needy or amateurish, all of which you most definitely aren’t.
On that note, this guide to finding the best places to guest blog without wasting a ton of time and energy is just what the chef ordered.

Oh, here’s a PSA: I’d shared this in my earlier post on why small businesses, like yours, need to guest post, but it bears repeating…
Guest blogging is *NOT* about putting out fluff-filled, filler content on shady sites to get spammy backlinks that can get your site penalized by Google.
Guest blogging is all about getting quality, hands-down-the-best content you’ve shared out there so you can build your brand, boost traffic and get out there.
So now that that’s out of the way, here are the top 3 proven ways to land incredible guest blogging opportunities that could well be, your best marketing opportunities too.
1. Google Them Up, Scotty!
What?
Prerna you said I wouldn’t have to do random Google searches!
That’s right, my friend. I did.
The operative word being random. 😉
However, used smartly, like I’m about to show you in a minute, Google can be your new {guest} blogging buddy.
So, how do you Google right?
You use the right search strings or terms that you type into the Google search box.
Let’s say, you run a cloth diapers business and want to guest post on established sites.
Type in cloth diapers “ guest blog”. See what comes up. A list of sites that accept guest blogs by folks just like you.
You can do this with just about any niche using search terms like:
Your niche “guest blog”
Your niche “this is a guest post by”
Your niche “guest posting guidelines”
Your niche “guest bloggers wanted”
Your niche “submit an article”
Here’s another example for someone who has a yoga studio or offers yoga classes to new moms.
2. Ready-to-Use Guest Blogging Sites Lists are Rad!
Want a shortcut? Have someone do the work and give you just a handy list of sites that accept guest posts?
Sure, no problem!
Just Google some of the following search terms
Your niche “guest posting sites”
Your niche “guest blogging sites”
For instance when I Googled social media “guest posting sites”, I came up with the following:
Someone’s already done the digging for you and put a nice little list for you to use, right away. Gotta love the Internets!
3. Social Sizzles with Guest Post Opportunities
None of my resource lists can be complete with a callout for social media.
Now as much as I love Facebook, it is Twitter that comes up trumps when I’m looking for places to guest post on.
Search for #contributors and see what comes up! A list of sites that accept contributors aka guest posts.
Want to niche down, like we did with Google? Sure.
Say, you sell kids toys. Type in kids toys guest post or kids toys #guestpost and voila, ka-boom-bang!
Now it’s just a matter of reach out to these sites and finding out if you, too, can write for them. Pretty neat, right?

Thanks Prerna! I’ve just recently started thinking about guest posts but, as you rightly pointed out, just thinking about researching sites is a drag. Up until now I had ONE lead. Going to implement your tips and see if I can add to it. 🙂
Hi Megan! You’re most welcome! I’m SO glad these are helpful and I can’t wait to hear about your successes now!!
Great tips! I’ve only done one guest blog and it didn’t yield much (if any) traffic to my site. I would like to try again, but I think I need to be more particular about which sites I partner with. Do you have any tips on that?
Fabulous post, Prerna!
I accept guests and monthly contributors on my lifestyle site. It’s great to spice it up with a different voice. Plus it gives the guest or contributor a new audience to tap into and drive them to their own site.
Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you so much for posting this! I’m working on SEO with a client and was trying to explain more about guest blogging and how it may be able to help him. I’m going to show him this and a few other posts I recently found. Hope to get him on board. Thanks again!
I’m currently working on my first couple of guest posts. I identified about half a dozen blogs, but found way more than that as a result of reading this and following a few links. There’s so much useful information here. Thanks for writing this helpful post.
This is an amazing post! I wasn’t on-board with the whole Guest Posting idea until now. Definitely going to research more on this. Thank you for sharing this lovely idea!

First and foremost, this has to be the best looking website I found talking about guest blogging. The pictures are a awesome touch to add.
I currently run a Limousine company and I wanted to add a section on my site for customers to blog about their experience on my fleet.
Good Idea or not?
Hey Los! Thanks for the appreciation 🙂 So yes it’s a good idea to add a customer experiences section BUT instead of opening up the blog and giving all your customers access to your website backend, it’ll be great if you instead create a form that they fill out online with their experience and then you post it using their details and their experiences 🙂
This information is very helpful, thank you for sharing this information. Thanks for writing this helpful post.
You’re most welcome, Jasmine. Glad it helped!
