Mike Volpe said, “Don’t be afraid to get creative and experiment with your marketing.”

As we approach the end of this 31-Day Get More Customers challenge, it is my hope that we have inspired you to be more creative and experimental with your marketing.

 However, if being creative is good, being consistent is better.

So, today’s Get More Customers strategy is about tying it all up together so that you can keep your marketing consistent AND creative all year round.

How do you do that?

With a marketing calendar.

You can create a marketing calendar with something as simple as an Excel sheet or a Google calendar or something as fancy as a SmartSheet or another tool.

But whatever you choose, make sure you do take the time out today to put together a basic outline of what your marketing will look like for the next 30-60 days.

You have nearly 30 different ideas to choose from.

You’ve already implemented a bunch of them.

Now, you have to simply pick the ones that need rinsing and repeating and plug them into your calendar.

For instance,

Your calendar can look like this:

November 2015

Week 1:

1st– 3rd November : Write and schedule 4 blog posts on holiday-themed topics.

4th November: Draft outline of 2 newsletters for this month.

5th-6th November: Schedule social media for the month and leave room for “on-the-go” sharing.

6th November: Explore social advertising for holidays. Earmark budget for it.

Week 2: 

8th– 12th November: Optimize product descriptions or hire copywriter to optimize existing descriptions.

9th November: Identify 5 influencers to reach out to for collaboration on sponsored content or product reviews.

11th November: Make a video post for our best-selling products and share on site and social. 

You see? It isn’t difficult and now that your brain is brimming with creative marketing ideas, all you need to do is ensure that your business growth is consistent and continuous, thanks to a well-planned calendar.

Your challenge for today is to spend 45-60 minutes mapping out your marketing calendar for the next 30 days. That’s it. Simple.
